Vertical plane, Horizontal Plane and Profile Plane

Clearly the Profile plane is adjacent to the Vertical plane and Horizontal plane is below the vertical plane.

VERTICAL PLANE, HORIZONTAL PLANE AND PROFILE PLANE 


Fig. 9.4. shows the formation of three planes, XY, XZ and ZY, known as Horizontal plane (HP), Vertical plane (VP) and Profile plane (PP) respectively.

Along X axis → Length of the object is measured

Along Y axis → Breadth of the object is measured

Along Z axis → Height of the object is measured

on XZ plane (Vertical plane) → Length and Height of the object can be shown.

on YZ plane (Profile plane) → Breadth and Height of the object can be shown.

on XY plane (Horizontal plane) → Length and Breadth of the object can be shown.

Clearly the Profile plane is adjacent to the Vertical plane and Horizontal plane is below the vertical plane. Arrangement of views are explained below.
