Types of Plane Figures
A plane figure is basically divided into two categories, (i) regular plane figure and (ii) irregular plane figure.
TYPES OF PLANE FIGURES A plane figure is basically divided into two categories, (i) regular plane figure and (ii) irregular plane figure. In general the plane figure is enclosed by straight lines, curves (or) both. If the sides of a plane figure are equal, it is called a regular plane figure. Example: Square, Rectangle, triangle, any regular polygon, circle, semi circle, etc. Some of the regular plane figures are shown in Fig. 13.1. If the sides of a plane figure are not equal it is called an irregular plane figure. Some of the irregular plane figures are shown in Fig. 13.2. Only the projections of regular plane figures are dealt in this chapter.
