Simple and Composite Plane Figures
Engineering Graphics (EG)
A regular plane figure can further be classified into two types (i) Simple plane figure and (ii) Composite plane figure.
SIMPLE AND COMPOSITE PLANE FIGURES A regular plane figure can further be classified into two types (i) Simple plane figure and (ii) Composite plane figure. A single plane figure like square, rectangle etc, are known as simple plane figure. A plane figure composed of two (or) more than two simple plane figures is known as composite plane figure. A composite plane figure may have addition of one simple plane figure to another (or) deletion of (ie, cut out) one simple plane figure from another. Fig. 13.3. shows some of the composite plane figures. Only the projections of simple plane figures are dealt in this chapter.
