Otherwise all the rules of projections for points, lines and plane figures are applicable for solids also. 2. Unless or otherwise specified the object is assumed to be placed in the First Quadrant. 3. If the distance of solid from HP and VP are not given in the problem any convenient distance may be assumed. 4. Continuous thick line to be used to represent the outline and visible edges of solids. 5. Dashed - thick line to be used for hidden outlines or edges. 6. Chain thin line to be used to represent the axis, lines of symmetry and trajectories. 7. Continuous thin line to be used for other lines like dimension line, construction line, leader line etc.,
