Engineering Graphics (EG)
A projection is defined as an image on to nalamaio en cie or a drawing of an object made on a plane.
PROJECTION A projection is defined as an image on to nalamaio en cie or a drawing of an object made on a plane. It is the representation of the image of an object on a plane surface, as it is observed by a viewer. The word "Projection" is of Latin origin which means to "Throw Forward". Thus a projection may also be defined as an image of an object thrown upon a picture plane by means of straight lines (or) visual rays. A three dimensional object viewed by an observer is described on the picture plane as shown in Fig. 8.1.
