LATTICE PLANES ✓ The crystal lattice may be regarded as made up of an aggregate of a set of parallel equidistant planes passing through the lattice points which are known as lattice planes. ✓ In simple terms, the planes passing through lattice points are called lattice planes. ✓ For a given lattice, the lattice planes can be chosen in a different number of ways. For example, four planes (a), (b), (c) and (d) shown in Fig.0.21. are lattice planes.
