EXERCISE 1. Draw the projections of a hexagonal prism having base with 30 mm side and 70 mm long axis sand resting on its base on HP such that a side of the base is i) Parallel to VP ii) Perpendicular to VP iii) Inclined at 45° to VP. 2. Draw the projections of a square prism, having base with 40 mm side and 60 mm long axis, having its base on VP such that i) a rectangular face is parallel to HP ii) its two faces are inclined at 30° to HP and iii) all faces are equally inclined to HP. Hof 3. A Tetrahedron with a 60 mm edge is resting on one face on the VP such that one of the edges is parallel to and 20 mm above HP. Draw its projections. 4. A cube with 40 mm edge is resting on HP with a vertical face inclined at 30° to VP. Draw its projections. 5. A triangular prism side of base 30 mm and height 50 mm rests with its base on HP such that one of its rectangular faces is perpendicular to VP. Draw its projections. 6. A triangular prism side of base 35 mm and axis 60 mm long rests with its base on HP such that one of its rectangular faces nearer to VP is parallel to and 15 mm infront of it. Draw its ort projections. 7. A pentagonal prism having 20 mm edge of its base and an axis of 50 mm long is resting on one of its rectangular faces with the axis perpendicular to the profile plane. Draw the projections of the prism. 8. A pentagonal pyramid of side 32 mm and axis 60 mm long is placed in the first Quadrant such that the axis is parallel to both VP and HP and the base is 25 mm away from PP. If one edge of the base is parallel to VP, draw the front view, top view and side view of the pyramid. 9. A triangular pyramid with 30 mm edge at its base and 35 mm long axis is resting on its base with an edge of the base near the VP, parallel to and 20 mm from VP. Draw the projections of the pyramid, if the base is 20 mm above HP. 10. Draw the projections of a hexagonal pyramid having base with 25 mm and 60 mm long axis resting on its base on VP with a side of base i) Parallel to HP iii) Perpendicular to HP, and iii) Inclined at 45° to HP. 11. A cylinder of 50 mm diameter having its axis 60 mm long is resting with one of its generators on HP. Draw the projections of the cylinder if the generator on which it rests is perpendicular to VP. 12. A Pentagonal prism of base side 40 mm and height 80 mm rests with one of its rectangular faces on HP. If the axis is inclined at 30° to VP, draw its projections. 13. A Hexagonal prism having a base with 30 mm edge and 65 mm long axis has an edge of its base in VP such that the axis inclined at 30° to VP and parallel to HP. Draw its projections. 14. A Hexagonal pyramid with a base having 35 mm side and 70 mm long axis is lying on a slant edge on the ground with axis parallel to VP. Draw its projections. 15. A Pentagonal pyramid having a base with 30 mm side and 60 mm long axis, has a triangular face in VP and the axis parallel to HP. Draw its projections. 16. A pentagonal pyramid having base with 35 mm side and 70 mm long axis, has an edge of base parallel to HP. Its axis is parallel to VP and inclined at 45° to HP. Draw its projections when the apex lies in HP. 17. Draw three views of a square pyramid having a base with 40 mm side and a 70 mm long axis which is resting on a corner of its base on HP and the slant edge containing that corner is vertical. 18. A cone of base 50 mm diameter and axis 65 mm long lies with one of its generators on HP and axis parallel to VP. Draw its projections. 19. A cone of base diameter 50 mm and axis 70 mm long has one of its generators on VP. If the axis of the cone is parallel to HP, draw its projections. 20. A cone of base with 50 mm diameter and 70 mm axis is resting on a point of its base circle on HP and the highest point of the base circle is 25 mm above HP and 40 mm infront of VP. Draw its projections. 21. Draw the projections of a cylinder 35 mm diameter and 50 mm long lying on HP with its axis inclined at 45° to HP and parallel to VP. 22. A cylinder having a base with a 50 mm diameter and 70 mm long axis is resting on a point of toen its base circle on HP. Draw its projections when its generators are inclined at 45° to HP. 23. A square prism has its axis inclined at 45° to HP and one of its base edges is inclined at 60° to VP. If the length of the base edge is 36 mm and the height is 60 mm, draw the projections of lolished of the object keeping one of its base edges on HP. 24. A square pyramid base side 30 mm and height 60 mm has its axis inclined at 30° to VP and enoll has an edge of its base on VP, inclined at 45° to HP. Draw its projections. 25. A hexagonal pyramid having a base of 25 mm side and a 60 mm long axis has an edge of its base on the ground and the axis is inclined at 30° to HP. The edge of the base on which it rests is inclined at 45° to VP. Draw its projections. 26. A Pentagonal pyramid having a base with 45 mm side and a 75 mm long axis is held on a corner of its base on the ground with the triangular face opposite to it horizontal. Draw the projections of the pyramid when the edge of the base contained by this triangular face is inclined at an angle of 60° and the apex is nearer to the observer. 27. A cone of base diameter 55 mm and 70 mm height has one of its generators on HP. If the axis of the cone is seen as 50° inclined to XY line in the top view and the apex is pointing to the observer draw the projections of the cone. 28. A cone having a base with 50 mm diameter and 65 mm long axis has one of its generators in the VP and is inclined at 30° to HP. Draw its projections, when its apex being 20 mm above HP. 29. A cylinder having a base with 50 mm diameter and 80 mm long axis, rests on a point of its base circle on HP.
