The special scales which are prepared according to our requirement are basically classified into four types as below:
CLASSIFICATION OF SCALES The special scales which are prepared according to our requirement are basically classified into four types as below: (i) For Linear Measurements 1. Plain scale 2. Diagonal scale 3. Comparative scale (plain and diagonal scales) 4. Vernier scale (ii) For Angular Measurements 1. Scale of chords Construction of Plain scale, Diagonal scale and Vernier scale are explained in the following sections.
