Folding of Drawing Sheet
Engineering Graphics (EG)
After completion of the drawing the drawing sheet should be folded properly and filed.
FOLDING OF DRAWING SHEET After completion of the drawing the drawing sheet should be folded properly and filed. IS 11664 : 1999 specifies the method of folding. The basic Principle of folding is to ensure i) title block is visible and appear on the right bottom corner so that the particulars of the drawing can be read easily. ii) drawing sheet is filed in a file properly, so that no part of the drawing sheet appears outside of the file. iii) easiness in unfolding of the drawing sheet for future reference and again refolding without taking out the drawing sheet from the file. Satisfying the above principles, suggested method of folding of A2 and A3 drawing sheets specified by BIS are given in Fig. 2.14.
