FLOW CONTROL VALVES • Flow control valves are used to control the flow rate and hence to control the actuator speed. • The flow control valves use the following basic general symbols : Orifice - Flow control valves unaffected by viscosity. Throttle - Constitute resistance in a hydraulic system. Rectangle - Indicates flow control valve.
