Coefficient of volume expansion is defined as the change in volume with change in temperature per unit volume by keeping the pressure as constant.

Coefficient of volume expansion is defined as the change in volume with change in temperature per unit volume by keeping the pressure as constant. It is denoted by β. the rate change of specific volume   is taken for the corresponding pressure from graph shown in Figure 5.7.
