Classification of Surfaces

Surfaces of various geometrical objects are :-

CLASSIFICATION OF SURFACES

Surfaces of various geometrical objects are :-

i) Plane surfaces: Surfaces of solids which can be spread parallel to any plane. Examples : Surfaces of prisms, pyramids, cube etc.

ii) Singly curved surfaces: Surfaces of solids of curved shape. Examples: Sufaces of cylinder and cone.

iii) Doubly curved surfaces: Surfaces of solids of curved shape in both horizontal and vertical planes. Examples: Surfaces of spheres, ellipsoid etc.
