Fig.13.12 illustrates a circuit to control unidirectional pneumatic motor.

ACTUATION OF PNEUMATIC MOTOR

1. Circuit

Fig.13.12 illustrates a circuit to control unidirectional pneumatic motor.


2. Operation

When the push-button operated 3/2 DC valve is shifted to its left mode, the air-operated 3/2 DC valve is actuated in its left envelope flow path configuration. Now the air flows to the inlet port of the air motor and hence the motor rotates.

When the push-button operated 3/2 DC valve is shifted to its right mode, the air gets exhausted in the valve and hence the motor rotation will be stopped.
